This role is essential in managing accounting activities, including cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, inventory control, and cash applications. The Accountant will also play a key role in planning, analyzing, and reporting SG&A spending, collaborating closely with functional leaders.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 1-3 years in the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of cost accounting and general financial principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (Dynamics/NAV a plus).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

•  Create and maintain credit history files.
•  Manage the collection efforts/calls for accounts receivable portfolio.
•  Document daily collections activity.
•  Perform account/payment reconciliations.
•  Respond to credit inquiries from external and internal clients.
•  Identify delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts.
•  Identify bad debt or financial exposure.
•  Prepares month-end journal entries for financial statements.
•  Posting cash transactions, applying customer payments, vendor set-up and weekly payment runs.
•  Assign account numbers to purchase requisitions/Purchase Order and review final against purchase order
• and quote.
•  Perform general accounting duties.
•  Performs account analysis and reconciliation including bank statements and intercompany general ledger
• accounts.
•  Works closely with Supply Chain to ensure a current GRIR account.
•  Posts monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
•  Perform credit and collections analyst duties.
