Responsibilities

EMD Electronics is seeking an aspiring engineer to fill an Engineering Intern position onsite at its manufacturing facility in Martin, SC. The Engineering Intern will support and drive documentation, reliability, process, or EHS improvement projects at the site. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various engineering disciplines, including Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The ideal candidate will assist in product development, system design, and the creation of schematics while working closely with experienced engineers. This position is designed for individuals eager to learn and contribute to innovative projects.

Duties

• Assist in the design and development of engineering projects, focusing on product development and system design.
• Support EHS process improvements in engineering projects.
• Collaborate with team members to fabricate prototypes and test systems.
• Participate in meetings to discuss project progress and contribute ideas for improvement.
• Conduct research on engineering best practices and emerging technologies relevant to ongoing projects.
• Help troubleshoot issues related to logic controllers and other engineering systems.
