Responsibilities
This role focuses on managing transportation compliance and vehicle registration to ensure all company and independent contractor vehicles meet state and federal regulations. Key responsibilities include handling permit renewals for various requirements such as hazardous materials, overweight/oversize loads, and alcohol-related transport. It also involves ordering IRP plates, decals, and permits while maintaining accurate fleet records.
Additionally, the position requires auditing vehicle inspection reports (DVIRs) and preparing compliance reports, including mileage tracking and motor carrier reports. The role supports risk management by assisting with annual audits, insurance renewals, and ensuring independent contractors provide proper insurance documentation.
Other duties include activating, deactivating, and transferring vehicles, running tax-related reports, and assisting field personnel with safety and compliance requirements. The job also involves managing cost estimates, reconciling invoices, and handling other administrative tasks related to transportation compliance.
