Responsibilities
The EHS Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing environmental health and safety policies, procedures, and programs within the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations by conducting workplace inspections, identifying hazards, providing safety training to employees, and managing incident reports to maintain a safe work environment; essentially acting as the primary point of contact for all EHS matters within the manufacturing organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Uses knowledge of plant operations, specific safety issues / known risks, regulations and corporate practices to implement improvements to safety in the plant, approaching each task with a risk reduction mindset.
- Maintains existing safety programs, systems, processes and documentation; develops safety programs where none exist currently or improves upon
- Conducts safety and environmental audits and trend analysis, ensuring safety parameters are understood
- Conducts incident and near miss investigations
- Provides safety training facilitation &/or method/procedure adherence
- Ensures safety standards and regulations are being met and followed
