Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of the bank reconciliation process, handling multiple accounts efficiently and ensuring accuracy in financial records.
- Verify that checks, deposits, and credits are accurately recorded in the system.
- Prepare and process journal entries as needed to reconcile discrepancies.
- Implement strategies to reduce incoming financial mail and streamline document processing.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of reconciliations and other financial transactions.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance reconciliation efficiency and accuracy.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Bank Reconciliation Specialist, or similar role.
- Ability to handle multiple bank accounts and perform high-volume reconciliations efficiently.
- Knowledge of journal entries and financial recordkeeping.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience with accounting software (Excel not required for reconciliation tasks).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
