Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage all incoming and outgoing invoices related to subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring proper documentation and timely payments.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial records and resolving discrepancies.
- Job Costing: Track costs associated with residential construction projects, ensuring all costs are properly allocated and reported.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts, monitoring and tracking financial progress of ongoing projects.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and other applicable taxes related to construction activities.
- Payroll: Process payroll for employees and ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and union agreements (if applicable).
- Project Financial Management: Work closely with project managers to track project budgets, timelines, and expenses, providing financial insights and recommendations.
- Audit & Compliance: Assist in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Bank Reconciliations: Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
