We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant for one of our top clients in the . The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing, tracking, and reporting on the costs associated with the production process. This role involves collaborating with multiple departments to ensure the accuracy of cost data, optimizing financial performance, and supporting management in decision-making processes.

salary: $32 - $39 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Prepare Unbilled Revenue analysis and reports
• Analyze Business Unit Labor Usage to ensure proper allocation of costs to jobs
• Prepare GL Account reconciliations for Liability and Prepaid accounts
• Review and analyze WIP accounts and Profit Reports to ensure proper recording of revenues and costs throughout the month
• Provide daily, monthly, and ad hoc reporting of sales and gross profit
• Record monthly journal entries for month-end closing process
• Assist in Unit Month End Sales and Validations including review of worksheets prepared for each sale
• Analyzing sales and gross profit accounts during the month-end close
• Provide support and backup for Parts and Price Uploads
• Manage audit requests for Inventory Control
• Responsible for recording and tracking assigned documents relating to the physical inventories
• Complete all tasks within a timely manner
• Effectively communicate with supervisor
• Provide support for branch personnel and management
• Perform other duties as assigned
