Responsibilities
As a Industrial Organizational Psychologist, job duties include:
- Conduct thorough job analyses to identify key competencies, skills, and other requirements that contribute to success in various roles within the organization.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions and selection criteria, ensuring they are accurate and relevant to current organizational needs.
- Establish a foundation for tailored, effective selection systems that accurately reflect job requirements.
- Validate selection tools (e.g., assessments, tests, interview protocols) to ensure they predict job performance reliably and consistently across diverse populations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the assessments support evidence-based decision-making and mitigate any potential bias.
- Assist in minimizing legal risks related to hiring and selection practices.
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field.
- Proven experience in job analysis, assessment validation, and content development within an organizational setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of assessment tools, selection systems, and statistical methods used in I/O psychology.
- Familiarity with legal compliance related to hiring practices, including adverse impact analysis and diversity initiatives.
