Responsibilities
Overview:
The Accountant’s primary responsibilities include preparing journal entries in accordance with GAAP that reflect the economic activity of the business and related reconciliations, and monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for their respective business units.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries necessary to support the economic activities of the sales and operations
- Facilitate and complete monthly close procedures
- Monthly accruals - analyze revenues and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
- Assist with financial and tax audits
- Assist with corporate reporting requirements
- Assist in documentation and monitoring of internal controls
- Other projects as assigned
- 3-5 years accounting/finance experience in services environment; CPA a plus, but not required
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting / Finance, GPA 3.0+
- Longevity in past position(s) highly preferred
- Intermediate Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif)
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving skills and attention to details
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees
