Responsibilities
Hazard Identification and Assessment:
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify potential safety and environmental hazards.
- Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) to assess risks associated with specific tasks.
- Monitor and evaluate workplace conditions for exposure to chemicals, noise, and other hazardous substances
- Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain documentation related to compliance activities, including permits, inspections, and incident reports.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant personnel.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees at all levels on topics such as chemical safety, emergency procedures, ergonomics, and hazard communication.
- Conduct safety awareness campaigns and promote a positive safety culture within the workplace.
- Support emergency response planning and organize drills
- Thoroughly investigate workplace accidents and near misses to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage PPE compliance and monitor safety equipment inventory.
