Position Summary:
As a Sample Logistics Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate distribution of samples to internal and external customers, supporting the development and registration of Crop Science products. You will manage sample orders, prepare shipments, maintain inventory, and adhere to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process sample orders using Sample Logistics Apps.
- Prepare and package samples for shipment, including attaching appropriate Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Ensure compliance with IATA and DOT regulations for domestic and international shipments.
- Manage international shipment documentation and communication.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile data in the Sample Logistics Apps, creating Excel reports.
- Receive and record incoming packages for the Sample Logistics team.
- Maintain archives of Certificate of Analysis for GLP samples.
- Assist in overseeing the secure GLP sample storage area.
- Sub-fill sample containers, apply labels, and scan samples into inventory.
- Identify questionable substances and consult with the Sample Logistics Manager.
- Maintain and update SDS for the sample inventory.
- Manage bulk inventory, including labeling and storage.
- Assist with ordering and organizing supplies.
- Complete IATA, and DOT training programs.
- Report discrepancies and technical issues.
- Associate degree or equivalent, with 0-3 years of related experience (Science field preferred).
- Knowledge of working with pesticides and laboratory experience.
- Experience using balances/scales and solid math skills.
- Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Experience with barcode scanning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Uses computer apps to process sample requests.
- Packs samples for shipping, including safety information.
- Helps with international shipments.
- Tracks and counts all sample inventory, creates reports.
- Receives and records incoming packages.
- Keeps important records for special samples.
- Manages a secure area for sensitive samples.
- Prepares samples for testing, labels and scans them.
- Checks samples for problems and reports them.
- Keeps safety data sheets up-to-date, manages storage.
- Helps with ordering and organizing supplies.
- Performs other tasks as needed.
- Completes required training.
- Reports any problems with orders or the system.
Education Requirement(s):
• Associate degree or its equivalent and 0-3 years of related experience
• Preferred Degree in the Science field
• Knowledge of working with pesticides and laboratory experience.
• Experience working with balances/scales and excellent math skills
• Knowledge and experience in understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
• Bar code scanning knowledge
• Able to handle work at a fast pace
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
