Position is in St. Petersburg, FL.
$26-28/hr M-F 8am-5pm **Not eligible to work from home**
Candidates must have:
- At least 1-2 years of human resource management experience
- Certification in Human Resources such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
- Experience with Paycom and UKG
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Evidence of the practice of high level of confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Vietnamese language communication skills are a plus

Responsibilities
The Human Resource Assistant promotes the company mission and value-based culture by assisting in the administration of the human resources policies, programs, and procedures. Acts as primary administrator for benefits, recruiting and staffing programs, employee recognition programs, event planning and employee database and records management. This position is a key role in the Human Resource Department and requires a highly dependable and results-oriented individual.
- Update/distribute Employee Handbook annually
- Conduct new employee orientation
- Obtain backgrounds checks & employee eligibility verifications.
- Review, correct, and approve employee timecards
- Conduct 30-day review with new employees
- Present company training programs and join monthly Environmental Health and Safety training
- Assist with submitting Worker’s Compensation Claims and maintain documentation
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs, and assist with benefits enrollment
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, conduct exit interviews, and respond to unemployment requests
- Oversee the benefits programs
- Promote safety compliance and assist the Operations functions to ensure safe work environment
- Assist with being a resource to assist with management regarding policy interpretation and employment issues
- Answer calls and direct to the correct department.
