- 4-5 years of paralegal experience, with a strong focus in criminal defense and family law
- Paralegal certification preferred but not required (significant experience is prioritized)
- Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and file management
- Well rounded knowledge of criminal defense and family law procedures
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Proficient with legal software (experience with [specific software] preferred) and MS Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
- Ability to handle a high volume of cases and tasks efficiently and effectively

Responsibilities
- Assist in case preparation and manage case files for criminal defense and family law cases
- Draft, file, and review legal documents such as motions, petitions, and subpoenas
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of case law, statutes, and regulations
- Maintain client files and ensure that all documentation is organized and up to date
- Assist with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as necessary
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
- Assist in gathering and reviewing discovery materials, including police reports, medical records, and other case-related documents
- Schedule court dates, client meetings, and depositions
- Handle administrative duties related to legal cases as assigned
