We are currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated Paralegal to join our team. This role requires a strong background in both Criminal Defense and Family Law, and the ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of hands-on experience in these areas. The Paralegal will assist attorneys with case preparation, legal research, drafting documents, and client communication. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented individual who is capable of handling a fast-paced workload with minimal supervision. We are looking for someone who can jump into the role with minimal training and support our team in delivering excellent legal services to our clients.   Requirements:

• 4-5 years of paralegal experience, with a strong focus in criminal defense and family law
• Paralegal certification preferred but not required (significant experience is prioritized)
• Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and file management
• Well rounded knowledge of criminal defense and family law procedures
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Proficient with legal software (experience with [specific software] preferred) and MS Office Suite
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and tasks efficiently and effectively

Responsibilities

• Assist in case preparation and manage case files for criminal defense and family law cases
• Draft, file, and review legal documents such as motions, petitions, and subpoenas
• Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of case law, statutes, and regulations
• Maintain client files and ensure that all documentation is organized and up to date
• Assist with trial preparation and attend hearings or trials as necessary
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, experts, and opposing counsel
• Assist in gathering and reviewing discovery materials, including police reports, medical records, and other case-related documents
• Schedule court dates, client meetings, and depositions
• Handle administrative duties related to legal cases as assigned
