Do you have experience with hospital collections? If so, we are seeking for a temporary medical biller and collections to support the department with the collections and recovering of payment from patients and insurance companies.  The ideal candidate must have knowledge of California based experience with hospital collections. Hours 9am-5pm M-F

salary: $19 - $21 per hour

Responsibilities

Currently seeking for a Medical Biller and Collector to collect and recover the payment from patients and insurance companies for delinquent hospital or medical patient accounts.

• 3+ years of experience in hospital collections
• Experience with initiating outbound calls that potentially lead to sucessful payment or timely arrangement to satisfy delinquent accounts
• Ability to talk with payers, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid to resolve problems and gather additional information needed to collect debt.
• Ensure all billing is complete and accurate
• Experience with Hospital billing in CA based organizations and the understanding of CA state laws
• Epic and payer portal experience
• Proficient with MS suite and Excel
• Knowledge of payer contractors, experience with appeals and medical terminology experience
