Our client is hiring a Project Accountant. This company is seeking an experienced individual who has worked within Construction for at least 5 years.

• PAY:  $35-38 per hour
• SCHEDULE: M-F, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of costs, expenses, and forecasts.
• Prepare and review financial reports, including profit and loss statements for each project.
• Process accounts payable and receivable related to projects, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Track and manage subcontractor and vendor invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
• Review and maintain financial documentation for compliance with contract terms and conditions.
• Handle pre-liens and waivers, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of job cost reports, including the allocation of costs to various project phases.
• Monitor project financial performance and provide support to project managers for cost control and forecasting.
• Coordinate with the project management team to resolve discrepancies and identify financial risks.
• Assist in reconciling accounts and ensuring all project-related transactions are accurately reflected.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and regulations, including the differences between public and private works.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with company policies and procedures.
