Responsibilities
- Conduct loan-level reviews to ensure compliance with servicing requirements.
- Handle multiple loan workout products for mortgage-insured loans in line with legal and investor guidelines.
- Underwrite borrower financial information to determine eligibility for loss mitigation options.
- Address escalated inquiries from mortgage servicers and provide comprehensive responses.
- Maintain relationships with third-party collection vendors and manage service level agreements (SLAs).
- Review and prepare monthly recovery reports and conduct servicer performance follow-ups.
- Ensure accuracy in all processes, safeguarding confidential customer and company information.
- Execute recovery processes and administer custom cost reduction procedures.
- Monitor mailboxes and take appropriate actions based on incoming communication.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in loss mitigation or default management, preferably within a mortgage servicing environment.
- Proficiency in computer-based programs and business software.
- Analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with mortgage delinquency processes and GSE guidelines.
- Attention to detail and confidentiality in managing sensitive customer data.
- Professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with mortgage servicing partners (no direct communication with borrowers).
