Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory reporting for both internal use and external requirements, including on-hand inventory levels, in-transit inventory, and royalties.
- Analyze Gross Profit by division/product grouping, performing detailed reviews of products/transactions to investigate variances.
- Maintain accuracy of inventory cost records and Cost of Sales reporting through periodic reviews, including LOCOM analysis, SKU revaluation, and inventory reserves.
- Prepare audit schedules for JSOX and assist with internal or external audits.
- Provide monthly and ad-hoc analysis of operational results with key driver summaries and explanatory commentary.
- Review monthly AP inventory accruals and ensure timely payments to the parent organization.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance inventory processes and systems.
- Monitor and report on zero-value, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory, contributing to monthly inventory review/reduction meetings.
- Prepare scrap and inventory adjustment reports to identify trends and improve inventory management.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on cost accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with large ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) & MS Office Suite
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven conclusions effectively.
