Responsibilities
- Build and sustain working relationships across various departments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the sample management process while adapting to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Oversee the receipt of merchandise samples from vendors and associates, as well as retrieve samples from buyers’ storage spaces.
- Collect, organize, store, mail, or donate samples in alignment with business requirements.
- Manage and maintain the samples and storage areas for assigned merchandising departments.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving the sample process at each stage, aiming to streamline workflows and reduce the merchants’ workload.
- Administer weekly and monthly sample purging schedules while ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Offer support to buyers by managing special equipment requests (such as sample racks, rolling racks, or grids) for strategy and product review meetings.
- Assist HR and buying teams with sample-related events, including selecting relevant samples for displays, setting up areas for photography or associate purchases, and breaking down displays afterward to donate remaining samples to charity.
