Responsibilities
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department, which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
- Management of payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable, monthly financial statements, cash flow, inventory, and preparation of the annual operating budget, capital expenditure budget, and economic analyses.
- Directs the Information Management, material planning, procurement, shipping, and receiving functions.
- Support the general manager in strategic planning and provide analysis as required.
- Provides financial information to the CPA for tax planning and compliance.
- Review annual auditing and financial statements related to the 401k plan.
- Maintain a good relationship with bank representatives.
- Document, monitor, and update the company accounting policies.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures as required to control business practices.
- Supervise and train direct reports as necessary to complete job responsibilities.
- Maintain business system to account for and report all financial transactions properly.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, emphasizing capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
