- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent, Buyer, or Procurement Specialist in the construction industry, preferably in residential construction.

Responsibilities
- Procurement and Purchasing:
- Source and procure construction materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications and budgets.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new and existing suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to secure the best value.
- Maintain a reliable vendor database and assess supplier performance regularly.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage procurement budgets.
- Track and report on material costs, identifying opportunities for savings.
- Assist in forecasting material needs to optimize purchasing strategies.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to understand material requirements and project timelines.
- Communicate delivery schedules, lead times, and any potential delays to the construction team.
- Ensure proper documentation of all purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Compliance and Quality Control:
- Verify materials and equipment meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
