We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a temporary assignment to assist in preparing for a client’s quarterly audit. The ideal candidate will have a background in financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. Responsibilities

• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  
  
• Assist in compiling and reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation for the audit.
  
  
• Conduct variance analysis and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
  
  
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
  
  
• Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary audit materials.
  
  
• Support the external auditors by providing requested documentation and explanations.
  
  
• Assist in improving internal controls and identifying process efficiencies.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  
  
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in audit preparation.
  
  
• strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  
  
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP.
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  
  
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
