Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Litigation Attorneys in managing client files from Litigation through Settlement
- Conduct Litigation Intake to ensure initial discovery information is obtained
- Communicate with opposing counsel, adjusters, court clerks, and experts
- Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases
- Interview clients and witnesses, and prepare summaries of their statements
- Provide clients with regular case updates
- Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provide written analysis to attorneys
- Draft legal documents including routine discovery, pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories
- File motions and pleadings according to judicial procedures (e-filing for state and federal cases)
- Draft Notices for Depositions, Mediations, Hearings, etc.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including attending trials and hearings
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
- Proven experience in legal support or litigation assistance
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation
