Responsibilities
- Assists, under minimal supervision, with the coordination, preparation and analysis of financial reports and statements as assigned.
- Assists in the development and submission of accounting and financial transactions required to provide proper reporting.Maintains necessary accounting records and files as required.
- Performs maintenance of general ledger.
- Prepares and verifies financial reports required by various insurance bureaus, publishing houses, statistical agencies, regulatory authorities, internal and external auditors/examiners and management.
- Corresponds with various field staff or outside sources concerning difficulties, discrepancies or other matters as directed and needed.
- Maintains current knowledge of changes to GAAP and/or statutory accounting and reporting requirements, which will impact the submission of required reports and financial statements.
