Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer calls to the main line using Cisco phone queue and triage calls appropriately.
- Schedule return appointments for multiple providers and register patients.
- Take telephone encounters and route them to the appropriate team.
- Provide back-up support for patient check-in at the clinic and infusion center.
- Verify insurance eligibility, establish patient benefits, and collect co-pays.
- Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and treatments as needed.
- Use the Epic system for scheduling, inbasket management, and telephone encounters.
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical office or medical insurance setting.
- Experience with Epic electronic medical records system preferred.
- Experience in scheduling or hospital registration.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
