We are seeking a Purchasing and Inventory Control Associate to negotiate pricing, evaluate vendors, and ensure timely material flow to maintain appropriate inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in purchasing, inventory management, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with knowledge of ERP systems, preferably Business Central. Good math skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships are essential. This is a casual and family friendly environment to work onsite at in Grayslake, IL.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate pricing and purchase raw materials.
• Evaluate existing and potential vendors. Recommends changes to Purchasing Manager
• Sources new and alternative suppliers.
• Interfaces with manufacturing to ensure the timely flow of materials, so that appropriate inventory levels are maintained.
• Track and review all inventory regularly.
• Set new or revised inventory levels as required based on available data.
• Place orders via phone, internet or fax for general requirements as they appear on daily reorder reports.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High School diploma is required. Some college is preferred.
• Experience in Purchasing and Inventory Control is desired.
