Position Overview:
- Under the limited direction of the Engineering Manager, this Electrical-Focused Staff Engineer position is primarily responsible and accountable for project development, design, and execution. Work is often multi-disciplined and requires close coordination with manufacturing management as well as other corporate departments and outside agencies. While project assignments may at times focus on other disciplines such as mechanical and piping, the primary focus of this position is electrical and power systems. The Staff Engineer collects design criteria, prepares detailed schedules, prepares technical specifications, develops engineering designs, assembles project estimates, creates engineered drawings including electrical one-line diagrams, and utilizes project management tools to ensure projects meet safety, quality, performance, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute capital and expensed projects, sometimes large and complex, with detailed scopes of work, detailed schedules, and appropriations-grade budgets.
- Solicit detailed stakeholder design criteria and translates same into actionable technical designs, plans, and scope elements to ensure achievement of project objectives.
- Partner with project stakeholders to develop project options and proposals to facilitate decision-making by business leaders
- Develop and submit detailed documentation required to solicit project approval through online project administration software tools.
- Maintain project files and publish periodic project reports.
