Responsibilities
Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
Make sure the workplace is safe and clean. Responsible for filling out incident and accident reports and reporting all violations of safety and other policies. They must ensure that the company’s exposure to risk is minimized by following all safety regulations.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Develop, implement and maintain food quality and food safety programs.
Ensure that the packaged product, packaging components and raw materials have the proper disposition and comply with all the requirements for finished product.
Provide ongoing development and education of Quality Inspectors including inspection techniques, product specifications awareness, maintain an up to date knowledge of all food safety and sanitation procedures.
Maintain HAACP Standards, ensuring compliance, keeping all records current.
Must be willing to perform other duties not listed in this job description.
Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
