Randstad is seeking a talented Lab Technician to work in a high throughput, team focused lab. This position offers a great opportunity to work in a positive, innovative work environment where all workers are treated with respect and diversity is accepted. This is a fully onsite position. Candidates local to the St. Louis area are preferred as relocation cost reimbursement is not available for this position. 

salary: $21 - $22 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

In this position, you will work with seed samples and will performs tasks such as dropping, crushing, planting, harvesting, counting, grinding, and reagent preparation Under the guidance of a full time employee, you will conduct routine and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment and assist in the operation of equipment for the purpose of data generation. You will be responsible for receiving and inspection of raw materials, ordering and stocking.

What you will need:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline. 
• The ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
• The Ability to stand while working for prolonged periods of time (4-6 hours)
• The ability to conduct repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms
