Responsibilities
- Post payments for Medicare, Medicaid, and various other insurance carriers
- Address and resolve delinquent insurance reports.
- Investigate, correct, and manage insurance rejections and zero payments.
- Generate and process relevant reports using internal system.
- Prepare and submit appeals, file corrected claims, and resolve denials.
- Input charges into the computer system, validate authorization numbers, and apply charges.
- Review and manage delinquent insurance reports and follow up as needed.
- Review and rectify insurance audit trails to ensure accuracy.
- Respond to and follow up on patient billing and insurance inquiries.
- Process credit card payments and handle patient billing-related calls
- MUST be comfortable working independently, heavy outbound calls, and performing collections
- MUST have prior experience with government and private insurance
