Responsibilities
As a Merchandise Financial Planner, job duties include:
- Construct and lead pre- and in-season merchandise financial business plans (MFP), including revenue, margin, and inventory for geos, gender, and MPUs.
- Influence the alignment between top-down fiscal targets and bottom-up assortment plans to meet strategic financial objectives using available supply and consumer signals.
- Ensure that the assortment plan aligns with the merchandise financial plan and supports the consumer architecture and strategy.
- Identify and implement cross-MPU trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, optimize brand and partner margins, and maintain marketplace inventory health.
- Provide strategic guidance for the fiscal shape across multiple seasons, setting the stage for long-term financial success.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in retail planning, with a solid understanding of revenue, margin, and inventory management.
- Proven track record in managing financial planning for merchandise, with hands-on experience in sales, assortment, and merchandise financial planning.
- Experience working with data to assess market trends, manage inventory, and solve complex business challenges.
- Demonstrate command of retail metrics, including retail sales, ST%, WOS, inventories, revenue, and margin.
