Responsibilities
- Execute purchase orders via phone, internet, or fax in response to daily replenishment reports.
- Regularly review inventory metrics to mitigate the risk of shortages or excess stock.
- Adjust inventory benchmarks based on demand forecasts and real-time data analysis.
- Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure consistent material flow and maintain ideal inventory levels.
- Lead pricing negotiations and procure essential raw materials to support uninterrupted production.
- Source and establish relationships with new and alternative suppliers to broaden procurement opportunities.
- Evaluate existing and prospective suppliers, offering strategic recommendations to the Purchasing Manager for performance enhancement.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support procurement and supply chain operations.
