Responsibilities
As an Accountant Job Duties include:
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries for accounts, including general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports summarizing current and projected financial positions.
- Perform account reconciliations, review journal entries, and ensure the accuracy of financial data in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Establish, modify, document, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
- Review AP data entry and ensure timely vendor payments. Assist with additional AP-related tasks as needed.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and general accounting software.
- Ability to solve practical problems and work with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reports, transactions, and reconciliations.
