Responsibilities
- Accountable for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks related to unclaimed property/escheatment
- Manage the unclaimed property portfolio
- Execute multiple operational functions related to the processing and researching of unclaimed property
- Prepare and file escheatment reports with vendors
- Report and transfer the proper funds to the appropriate state agencies
- Audit reporting for accuracy
- Maintain detailed logs, records, and reports of unclaimed property
- Ensure all communication is documented
- Liaise with internal departments, state agencies, property owners, and banks
- Reconcile unclaimed property general ledger accounts
- Retrieve and format data imported from states and NAIC for weekly END scan with the end result of locating insurance policies for constituents
- Conduct research to locate owners of unclaimed property through various databases and researching out via email/phone to multiple sources
