Our client, a highly respected public service organization, is seeking a Public Assistance Grants Program Specialist to join and lead their dynamic team in Phoenix. In this impactful role, you’ll provide mid-level management and technical expertise to support State and federal Public Assistance grants, helping rebuild and restore infrastructure for local governments and non-profit organizations. From guiding stakeholders through the full grant lifecycle to ensuring every detail is in compliance, you’ll be the go-to expert driving recovery efforts forward.
salary: $36.14 - $36.15 per hour

Responsibilities
As a Public Assistance Grants Program Specialist, job duties include:
- Administer and support the full lifecycle of Public Assistance grant activities, including technical support, documentation review, and compliance oversight.
- Ensure financial and grant records meet State and federal records retention and reporting standards.
- Oversee and process complex reimbursement requests, validating documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide tier two technical support for Public Assistance grant portals and systems; assist stakeholders with portal navigation and troubleshooting.
- Analyze and interpret technical language for legal and regulatory compliance.
- 3+ years of experience with federal and State grant administration, particularly FEMA Public Assistance.
- Knowledge of SEOC operations and participation in disaster response roles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of grants management systems.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
