Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
- Coordinate and manage case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all documents are accurately organized, indexed, and readily accessible.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances, including managing logistics and communication with all involved parties.
- Conduct legal research using online databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and other resources, and compile relevant information and summaries for cases.
- Assist the Managing Partner in managing client inquiries, providing updates, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
- Handle incoming telephone calls, emails, and mail, screening and directing them appropriately and efficiently.
- Process expense reports and invoices.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the Managing Partner and the firm's operations.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in legal administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of previous experience working as a legal administrative assistant or in a similar legal support role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in conducting legal research and preparing legal documents
