In this key role, you’ll ensure seamless execution of material planning and purchasing activities that directly support production readiness, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery. You'll work cross-functionally with Supply Planning, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to turn planned orders into action—helping to keep life-saving products moving through the pipeline and into the hands of those who need them most.

Responsibilities
As a Material Buyer, Job Duties Include:
- Convert planned orders into detailed material plans, ensuring timely and accurate availability of materials to support production schedules.
- Collaborate with Supply Planners, Schedulers, and Project Managers to maintain responsive and up-to-date material plans that reflect evolving production needs.
- Create and maintain material planning parameters in planning systems and ensure accuracy of master data within the ERP system.
- Partner with Procurement to transition material requirements into Purchase Orders, and expedite material availability through close coordination with inbound logistics and procurement teams.
- Develop and implement safety stock and inventory strategies to minimize risk and ensure continuity of supply.
- Work with Quality Assurance on vendor qualification and ensure that master data is maintained accurately to support compliance and operational excellence.
- 3+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain operations, or production planning in a regulated industry (e.g., pharmaceuticals, biotech, or manufacturing).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and planning systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with supply chain KPIs and reporting tools preferred.
