Responsibilities
- Performs moderate to semi-complex assembly and testing tasks using mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Sets up moderate to semi-complex test equipment on various products to measure and record valve or system compliance with test specifications. Configures test stands with the necessary plumbing for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, and cryogenic tests according to product test specifications.
- Verifies the accuracy of test stands and setups before testing, making necessary adjustments to achieve specified test results.
- Conducts tests using common and/or computerized data acquisition equipment (e.g., LabVIEW), and interprets/records test results on data forms. Utilizes X-Y recorders, oscilloscopes, transducers, and other related equipment.
- Troubleshoots and reworks malfunctions revealed by test data.
- Performs diagnostic teardown and rebuilding, including evaluating the suitability of components.
- Produces and inspects assemblies to ensure they meet product specifications. Assembles, tests, and/or solders according to customer and/or industry standards.
