Responsibilities
- Responsible for supervision and leadership of all employees assigned to area of responsibility.
- Trains and evaluates new temporary and regular employees with established department policies.
- Plans staffing needs and evaluates production requirements based on daily workload.
- Makes daily check of labor reports to determine inefficiencies and takes immediate corrective action.
- Responsible for communicating employee expectations and providing the tools to perform job functions and adhere to safety policies.
- Lead problem solving's and continuous improvements activities using A3/5 Why's process to obtain root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure daily walkthroughs are done with the outgoing supervisor. Ensure that 5S is being followed by all employees on a daily basis and address concerns as needed.
- Perform audits on scrap reports, in process quality inspections and standard work expectations.
- Meets required production and quality goals as determined by the department management staff.
- Maintains a safe and healthy workplace for employees in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Promotes a positive attitude towards safety. Adheres to the requirements of safety policies as well as safety rules, instructions and procedures.
- Practices continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for streamlining work and reducing waste. May participate in continuous improvement teams.
