Responsibilities

Responsibilities: 

• Load and unload inbound/outbound freight to maximize container and pallet space.
• Sort shipments based on size and destination.
• Read and interpret freight codes for efficient processing.
• Label, weigh, and measure freight.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the dock area.
• Report damaged or misrouted freight.

Qualifications: 

• Experience: Prior experience in a warehouse or dock setting is preferred.
• Valid IDs due to the STA requirement 
• Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively.
• Freight Handling Skills: Ability to read and interpret freight codes and labels.
• Equipment Operation: Proficient in operating sit down forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime when required

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
