An established manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead and oversee daily operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production, particularly in a regulatory environment, and possess in-depth knowledge of Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification standards. Being fluent in English and Spanish is a major plus, as it will enhance communication and team leadership within the facility. The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing plant activities, ensuring product quality, and leading a dedicated team.

salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Operations Management:
  
  
  • Oversee daily plant operations to maintain production efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to align with customer demand.
  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments to optimize efficiency.
• Quality Assurance:
  
  
  • Maintain compliance with SQF certification and other relevant food safety regulations.
  • Implement quality control procedures to maintain product standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to address quality issues proactively.
• Team Leadership:
  
  
  • Lead, train, and mentor production staff to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Cost Management:
  
  
  • Monitor and manage production costs, implementing measures to control expenses.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction and increased efficiency.
• Reporting and Communication:
  
  
  • Prepare and present reports on production metrics, quality issues, and operational improvements to upper management.
