Responsibilities
- Expertise in various systems for operational upkeep, adjustments, repairs, preventive maintenance, changeovers, and lubrication.
- Perform installation, adjustment, and repairs on machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and other instruments.
- Execute regular cleaning and lubrication of machine parts.
- Work under general supervision; take initiative to identify and resolve issues independently, with minimal supervisor follow-up.
- Respond to daily equipment issues, assist with troubleshooting, and maintain records of problems and resolutions.
- Follow all safety practices diligently.
- Be flexible and available for on-call support during after-hours or weekends for service calls.
- Associate degree or equivalent (A.A.) in a mechanical/electrical field from a technical school, or at least 1 to 1.5 years of related experience.
- Desire to learn and become proficient with specialized manufacturing equipment.
- Basic industrial plumbing and machining skills, including:
- TIG and ARC welding
- Operating milling machines and lathes
- Electrical aptitude in:
- AC & DC circuit work
- PLC knowledge and Ladder Logic interpretation
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics
- Industrial electrical installation and wiring
- Mechanical skills, including troubleshooting, drilling/tapping, interpreting technical parts drawings, and understanding mechanical logic.
