Responsibilities

Reading Instructions: Interpret job orders, blueprints, or work instructions to understand the required dimensions, tolerances, and sequences of operations.

Material Handling: Load raw materials onto the expanding machine and position them accurately for the expansion process. This may involve the use of cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.

Programming: Input expansion parameters into the machine's control panel based on the specifications provided in the instructions.

Operation: Operate the expanding machine to expand metal tubes, pipes, or other cylindrical components according to the required dimensions and specifications. Monitor the machine during operation to ensure accuracy and quality of the finished parts.

Quality Control: Inspect expanded parts for accuracy, completeness, and quality using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Make adjustments to the machine settings as needed to meet quality standards.
