- Familiarity with solid state control systems and test equipment used for troubleshooting systems.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and act on them.
- Thorough knowledge of AC/DC equipment, motors, generators, control panels, switches, lighting circuit breakers, relay systems, variable speed drives, and programmable controllers.
- Familiarity with applicable codes and proper installation methods.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and climbing.
- Heavy physical effort (up to 50 pounds).
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of various items.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities
- Obtain work assignments and maintenance schedules from the Maintenance Lead Person, Manufacturing Engineer, or Production Supervisor.
- Inspect and maintain all electrical equipment including motors, generators, control panels, systems, switches, lighting, circuits, and circuit breakers.
- Use electrical test equipment, drawings, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to install new equipment and diagnose problems.
- Perform temporary or permanent repairs and correct defective circuits.
- Monitor, inspect, and calibrate computer relay systems, and analyze and make repairs. Work with repair crews on emergency breakdowns and perform simple rigging as required.
