Responsibilities
PLC Technician will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, improve mechanical and electrical systems to enhance uptime & efficiency in alignment with company goals.
- Perform preventive maintenance on machinery, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical malfunctions using precision instruments
- Dismantle defective parts using hand and power tools; inspect and measure parts for re-use
- Adjust and calibrate equipment using hand tools and precision instruments
- Monitor compliance with preventive maintenance procedures and inform production teams
- Fabricate parts using machine shop tools
- Maintain inventories of parts and supplies; place orders as needed
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues on 3-phase systems up to 480V
- Document maintenance activities, including time logs and equipment updates in SAP CMMS
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety rules and regulations
- Contribute to team efforts by sharing insights and maintaining accurate technical documentation
- High School Diploma/GED required; 2-year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred
- 5-10 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP CMMS
- Troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Familiarity with PLC systems, VFDs, AC motors & electrical diagnostics
- ARC Flash, Lean/WCM &computerized maintenance systems
- Skilled in electrical systems, including VFDs, servos and control devices
