Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical testing on a variety of components (e.g., resistors, capacitors, semiconductors, connectors) to verify functionality and performance.
- Set up and operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and impedance analyzers.
- Test components for electrical properties such as voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, and inductance, following established procedures and test plans.
- Perform continuity, insulation resistance, and voltage withstand tests on electrical and electronic components.
- Analyze test data, identifying trends and discrepancies, and generate comprehensive test reports for further review.
- Troubleshoot faulty components and assemblies by interpreting schematics, conducting voltage and current measurements, and utilizing other diagnostic methods.
- Document test results, failures, and solutions in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
- Verify the electrical characteristics of prototypes and pre-production units, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Provide feedback to engineering teams regarding performance issues and recommend corrective actions or design improvements.
