Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Welding Operations: Perform basic welding tasks using MIG welding techniques to join metal parts, ensuring accurate and clean welds.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to understand the project requirements.
- Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and safety gear, ensuring proper function and safety.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, helmets, and protective clothing to maintain a safe work environment.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the welds meet the required specifications and quality standards, making adjustments as necessary to improve weld strength, appearance, and consistency.
- Material Preparation: Cut, grind, and clean metal pieces before and after welding to ensure a smooth and proper weld.
- Team Collaboration: Work with senior welders and other team members to complete welding projects in a timely manner and troubleshoot issues that arise during the welding process.
- Documentation: Record and report work completed, including materials used, hours worked, and any issues encountered during the welding process.
- Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the welding work area and tools, ensuring that equipment is properly stored and cared for.
