Responsibilities
- Laser Equipment Setup and Calibration
- Configure and adjust laser cutting or etching machines to meet specific production requirements, including setting parameters such as speed, power, and depth based on material properties.
- Operation and Monitoring
- Operate laser machinery to cut, perforate, or etch flexible packaging materials, ensuring high precision and quality. Monitor the equipment during operation to detect and resolve issues promptly.
- Quality Inspection
- Inspect finished products for adherence to specifications, ensuring that cuts, perforations, or markings are accurate, clean, and meet customer standards. Use measurement tools to verify compliance.
- Material Handling
- Load and unload rolls or sheets of flexible packaging materials, ensuring proper alignment and handling to prevent material damage or waste.
- Preventative Maintenance and Troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to prevent downtime and troubleshoot malfunctions or errors to maintain efficient operations.
- Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensure compliance with workplace and environmental regulations regarding laser operations and material handling.
