Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain multi-unit press equipment to achieve production goals.
- Perform machine cleaning, adjustments, and routine maintenance, including replacing ink rollers, blankets, and plates.
- Make running adjustments to ensure optimal press performance and minimize downtime.
- Inspect printed materials for quality, ensuring accuracy in color, cleanliness, and registration.
- Assemble and prepare ad packages for shipping to clients.
- Ensure safety of the press crew by enforcing proper use of Lockout/Tagout procedures, PPE, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain and inspect press equipment, such as rollers, to meet PM standards.
- Collaborate with crew members to meet production deadlines while adhering to safety standards.
- Proficiency in English for understanding written directions.
- Basic math skills for press operation and troubleshooting tasks.
- Problem-solving abilities to resolve print-related issues, such as tension, ink distribution, or web breaks.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, squatting, and climbing throughout shifts.
- Willingness to work overtime based on production needs.

Responsibilities
The Press Operator has overall accountability for all activities related to the operating a multi-unit press efficiently, safely and accurately. The Press Operator plays an essential role in helping reduce the cost of errors and achieve client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible/accountable for the overall safety of the entire press crew. This includes but is not limited to: using the Inch-Safe-Service method while washing blankets or any other time it is required; following Lockout/Tagout procedures when necessary; maintaining proper placement of machine guards; ensuring Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is properly worn when necessary; following and enforcing the Safety Rules.
- Performs and/or oversees all tasks associated with operating the press equipment in support of the production goals related to safety, setup, line speed, waste, web breaks and downtime
- Ensures that press crew is capable of completing their assigned tasks and that the standard process sequence is followed under normal circumstances.
- Inspects printed quality of jobs including folds, cleanliness, color and registration ∙ Ensures press is re-webbed correctly, safely and efficiently.
- Ensures that proper plates are mounted correctly and accurately
This position is heavily physically demanding. The individual must be able to stand continually with frequent bending, squatting, climbing reaching and pulling.
