What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate Deliveries: Schedule and dispatch drivers to deliver food products to customers, ensuring timely and efficient service.
- Optimize Routes: Develop routes to maximize efficiency, reduce travel time, and save costs.
- Monitor Operations: Track driver locations, delivery progress, and resolve any delivery issues in real time.
- Communicate Clearly: Serve as the main point of contact for drivers and address their needs throughout the day.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate logs of deliveries, driver hours, and route performance.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure drivers follow company policies, safety guidelines, and food handling requirements.
- Experience: Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation (preferably in the food industry).
- Tech-Savvy: Familiar with dispatching software and GPS systems.
- Problem-Solver: Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing situations.
- Team Player: Communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous record-keeping and time management skills.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT regulations and food safety standards is a plus.
