Responsibilities
- Quality Control & Inspection:
- Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure quality standards.
- Perform sensory, chemical, and microbiological tests on products.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, HACCP, and other food safety regulations.
- Oversee proper product labeling, including allergen declarations and expiration dates.
- Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, test results, and audits.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Collaborate with production teams to develop and refine quality control measures.
- Training & Leadership:
- Train staff on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety standards, and quality protocols.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
- Testing & Equipment Management:
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate testing.
- Verify testing methods and procedures for consistency.
- Customer & Supplier Support:
- Address customer complaints related to quality and investigate root causes.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards.
- Safety & Environmental Standards:
- Monitor workplace safety and sanitation to prevent contamination.
- Promote adherence to environmental standards and sustainable practices.
